COLD FRONT: Occurs when rapidly moving cold air runs into slow moving warm air mass. The cold air remains closer to Earth. The warm air rises and cools
WARM FRONT: Slow moving warm air mass collides with cold air masses. Warm air rises.
STATIONARY FRONT: Cold and warm masses meet but neither one has the force to move one another. Kind of like a tug of war.
